VGMA 2017 Winners

The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) 2017 winners have been announced at a well-honoured ceremony held on Saturday night at the AICC in Accra, Ghana.
Gospel musician Joe Mettle emerged as the biggest winner; he took home three (3) awards. He won the covetous ‘Artiste of the Year’ award, becoming the first musician in the genre to win the ultimate award. The ‘Onwanwani’ singer also won in the ‘Gospel Artiste of the Year’ and ‘Male Vocalist of the Year’ categories.
Other winners were Nacee, M.anifest, Kofi Kinaata, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, EL and Adina. The latter is the only female musician who won at this year’s ceremony. She bagged the ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ and ‘ Record of the Year’ categories.
The VGMA 2017 which was hosted by Anita Erskine with support from DJ Black saw performances from EL, M.anifest, Kofi Kinaata, Medikal, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Runtown, Toofan and many more.
It was attended by personalities from different backgrounds. These personalities were Bola Ray, Zynnell Zuh, John Dumelo, Nana Ama McBrown, Gloria Sarfo and many more.
